What We've Done
Traveled such a way
Waited for so long
Came to bring the Word
In our lives and in our songs
But what are we doing
In this bushland we call Faith
The skies are blue but the grass is dry
How long 'til you send rain
Can you work through what we've done, Lord?
Can treasures come from jars of clay?
Can these dry bones rise up again, Lord?
And is there more you've got to say?
What's it take to have your spirit move,
If we don't feel it, can it still be there?
If faith's not in feelings, or only the mind
Is it in something that they both share
So many times I feel our tries
Aren't accomplishing anything
How can all this mucking around
Be in the service of the King?
Feels like such a stretch
From the cause to the effect
But something happens in between
Far more that we could expect
Be steadfast in the work of the Lord
Your labor is not in vain
God will work through what we've done, yeah
And treasures will come from jars of clay
These dry bones will rise up again, Lord
And there is more you've got to say
What's it take to have your spirit move?
If we don't feel it, believe it is still there
'Cause faith's not in feelings, or only the mind
But in something that they both share
Yeah in something that they both share
