Almost Done
And last but not least, here is the bookcase on the right side, just about finished (except for the face-frame on the lower cabinet). I added a few pictures and knick-nacks to the upper shelves, to fill it out a little bit - but you can help "arrange and decorate" it to when we get back!

Weekend with the Family
I forgot I had taken these pictures until I was cleaning out the camera...I took these a couple weeks ago when I was at my parent's for the weekend. So, here's a picture of Karen teaching Boomer to give Josie a hug:

Valentines Day
The bookshelves and I had a very romantic time in the garage tonight - we did staining:

I did quite a bit of cutting and sanding today, although the pictures don't really show how much time all of that takes. I should have taken one of the pile of sawdust I made in the garage, but I forgot. So, you'll just have to be satisfied with this one:

It's not officially "in place" yet - I just set it there for the photo (number 1) and to make sure that it fit right (number 2) before I continued.

I had sort of a lonely day today... but Don Chaffer was good for some company. I've actually had trouble picking CDs to listen to, because most of the really good ones remind me of you, 'cause those are one's we listen to together most of the time. It's not that I don't want to think about you - it just makes the day go faster if I'm not remined that you're not here. But you will be soon - and we'll have some lovely bookcases to admire when you do. -- Love, Kevin

Well, it's your birthday today (here anyway) and I'm glad that the lilies arrived promply. I don't really have a lot of words to write to you, since we have been so regular with our phone conversations. Plus, you don't seem to be as fortunate with the internet access as we hoped you might. So, I'll resort to the pictures to fill up the space. Finished the left-side bookcase today:

Trim is all on, nail holes are filled, and I've even routed the power cords down through a hole in the top, so the cord from the lamp doesn't have to hang down over the front anymore:
